Starting today, Opera’s millions of users can send and receive Nervos CKB within the crypto wallet built into the Opera browser on Android.

Below is the step by step guide.

1. Download and install Opera browser on Android

2. Import or create a new crypto wallet

  1. Open Opera browser on your Android phone. Click the bottom right button and click Crypto Wallet on the pop-up window.

  2. You can import the existing wallet or create a new wallet. To import the existing wallet, click RESTORE FROM BACKUP and then input your 12-word mnemonic phrase.

  3. If you prefer to create a new wallet, click CREATE NEW WALLET and then NEXT or SKIP.

    Once you created a new wallet, backup your wallet immediately.

    Click the setting button on the top right and choose to Backup your wallet. Write down your unique 12-word mnemonic phrase on the paper. Remember not to take a screenshot or share it to someone else, as the mnemonic phrase is the key to your wallet.

    After that, return to the wallet settings and choose to Sign out from wallet.

    Reopen the Crypto Wallet and choose to RESTORE FROM BACKUP this time. Input your 12-word mnemonic phrase.

    If you cannot restore the wallet, double check the spellings and the order of mnemonic phrase. If spellings and the order of mnemonic phrase are correct, you may have made a mistake when you write down the phrase on the paper. You have to re-create a new wallet and backup again.

3. Receive CKB with Opera built-in wallet

By default, there are Ethereum and Bitcoin cards on the front page of Opera built-in wallet. To receive Nervos CKB, you need to add Nervos Network first.

  1. Click MANAGE CARDS and then add Nervos Network.

  2. Open Nervos Network card and click RECEIVE. You can scan or share the wallet address to receive Nervos CKB.

Other exchanges/wallets are integrating this, so before the completion of the integration work, you need to convert the new full format address to deprecated full format or deprecated short format in order to receive CKB in Opera wallet.
